Traveling Talons Classroom Visit

Have ORC visit your classroom or group for this 60 minute, NGSS aligned lesson for grades 4-8 that features bio facts, or taxidermy wings, talons, and other specimens, for a fascinating tactile educational experience. Students will have the opportunity to handle different bio facts at multiple stations to learn through observation and inquiry, about adaptations, and how internal and external structures help native bird species survive and process information in different ways. Click here to read more about the benefits of using taxidermy in the classroom. Find the standards for this program here.

*This program does NOT include live ambassadors*

If you would like to book a program that features our non-releasable raptor ambassadors, please look into our Field Trips and Zoom programs.
Our Meet the Ambassadors field trips and Zoom programs complement our Traveling Talons classroom visits by providing an engaging follow-up experience. Students observe our ambassador raptors displaying natural behaviors, reinforcing the adaptive traits they learned about during their classroom lessons, helping to solidify key concepts in raptor ecology and behavior.
